Tom Thompson the founding director and principal consultant has over 20 years work experience in the tree and arboricultural expertise, in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He used this 4 years ago to create Arbor Cultural Ltd.

He continues to promote the tree care industry with his roles as Chairman of the Consulting arborist Society (CAS) and on the development committee for Building Information Modelling (BIM)

We inspect trees and produce reports to address your tree related planning, mortgage, insurance and legal requirements. We can enable you to obtain your planning permission success and house purchase completion as well as addressing your insurance and duty of care requirements.

We are experts in all aspects of BS5837 reports and surveys for planning, Expert Witness work for legal issues, and decay detection testing for increased certainty regarding tree safety.

Our services include; Tree-related Mortgage Reports and Tree-related Insurance Reports, all aspects of BS5837 work, including BS5837 tree surveys, BS5837 Reports, BS5837 Arboricultural Impact Assessments, BS5837 Method Statements and BS5837 Tree Protection Plans and Tree Constraints Plans and BS5837 Arboricultural Supervision.

In addition to that we address Tree Health and Safety Tree Surveys and Tree Health and Safety Reports, Tree Risk Management Policies, Tree Heritage Assessments, Tree Valuation, Arboricultural Expert Witness Work, Tree-related Subsidence Assessments and Tree-related Subsidence Reports.

We also deal with High Hedge assessments and Higher Level Stewardship Tree Reports (HLS) administered by Natural England.

We have a wide range of decay detection testing equipment, including a Resi PD400 (similar to a Resistograph), and a 3D ArborTom Sonic Tomography device (similar to but better than a Picus).

We aim to meet clients’ needs, whilst addressing the requirements of the trees to provide an acceptable juxtaposition between people, trees and structures.
We comply with all the relevant legislation, guidance and British Standards.
