In 2014, having helped Leeds City Council create Leeds Data Mill, the city’s online repository for open data, our team set to work creating products and services that connected people with valuable, hyperlocal information like bin collection times and planning applications.
Building on the success of these early experiments with both location-aware technology and the use of open data, and with support from Leeds City Council, the Local Government Association (LGA), the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), we consolidated our work into one central portal: a self-service dashboard for hyperlocal information.
